This 3D fabrics catalogue is a self-initiated research project about exploring the way how fashion fabrics can be created in a more innovative way using digital fabrication technology such as 3D printing and laser-cutting. The fabrics 3D pattern is created using 3D software with repeatable 3D components that are proliferated on a body following its curves and surface of a garment silhouette.
In case of 3D printed components of fabrics there is no stitching or gluing involved, and components are connected with each other by mechanically joining them using interlocking details of each component.
