DIDU collaboration helmet-hat

This helmet-hat is a collaboration project with a Chinese fashion designer DIDU. The project was inspired by a bike helmet but had to have a much more strange and exaggerated aesthetics where architecture, fashion and art are fused. The helmet was 3D printed from a digital 3D file in nylon and polished and coated manually. This is one of the fashion projects where we exploring digital fabrication methods to create a design that is close to our body and skin.
